08/2023
Dear Members,
As the year draws to a close, we would like to share with you a few more dates for this year.
Let’s start with the next Noggin’ and Natter in Brouch – remember that we have been meeting on Wednesdays for a few months now. We will start as usual at 7pm.
Then in November we have the next edition of our Sunday Breakfast in Munsbach on the agenda. In the last few years the event has been very popular, so make sure you reserve your seats early so that we can get as many people as possible at one table.
For the time being, only the date of the Noggin’ and Natter is planned for December, on 20 December we will meet for the last time for 2024.
But the new year is off to a spectacular start, with two big trade fairs abroad on the agenda again. The Classic Car Show Maastricht has the theme 120 years of Ford Performance.
But we would like to warmly recommend the Retromobile in Paris – this year’s exhibition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of MG! No less than a dozen iconic cars will make the journey from the British Motor Museum to Paris, including the legendary “Old Number one”, or the 1938 MG EX135. We are organising a coach trip to the show – see below for more information.
We would like to complete this MatdeelonG Aktuell with the latest information on the European Event of the Year, which will take place next year in Luxembourg. We need helping hands – more information on this further down in the text.
Hope to see you at one of the last events!
With octogonal greetings,
The MGCCL Comité
Reminder : Noggin’ and Natter October
We’ll meet at Relais Bausch in Brouch / Mersch, as usual from 7PM onwards.
3rd edition of our MG Sunday Breakfast! The team of Hotel Légère in Munsbach, Parc d’activité Syrdall, 11 rue Gabriel Lippmann, will prepare a rich buffet for us, with everything our heart desires. We meet at 10 a.m. in the hotel restaurant, the kitchen opens for us an hour longer until 1 p.m. We look forward to starting the day fresh with you!
The price for this breakfast is -+30 €/person (non-alcoholic drinks only), other drinks can of course be ordered but need to be paid separately.
Register until 1st November 2023 at the latest. Contact Andy Staff by mail (andy.staff@t‑online.de) or via text / whatsapp message +352 621 216 248 or via the link below
We are planning a visit to the “Salon Retro Mobile” in Paris on Saturday, 3rd February 2024.
As we want to organise a bus, it is important to know very early who is interested in this trip.
Therefore, please contact us quickly at:
info@mgcarclub.lu or Sonja Mailliet (621 790 027 by sms only please) or fill-out our registration form : www.mgcarclub.lu/retromobile
Prices are not yet fixed, as they depend on the number of participants. If there is a lot of interest, more information will come very soon.
Next year’s event will be the European Event of the Year, where we expect 250 vehicles from all over Europe. To make the event a success we are looking for dedicated members, we appreciate every helping hand.
There are many ways you can contribute, here are just a few:
– Organising Committee: if you have organisational skills or would like to work on planning and running the event, then the Organising Committee is the place for you.
– Parking Attendants: On the days of the meeting we need hardworking parking attendants to ensure that all classic cars find a suitable space. This is a great way to actively participate in the meeting.
– Help on site: Many helpers are also needed during the event to assist with various tasks such as registration, catering or security.
No matter how much time you have available, all help is welcome. Together we can ensure that our classic car meeting is a memorable event.
If you are interested in supporting the board, please contact Sonia or Andy, or at the address
We will be happy to provide you with further details and integrate you into the appropriate teams.
Let’s work together for a successful event next year! We look forward to your support and enthusiasm for our shared passion.
